As an emerging artist, I like to challenge myself to keep learning. Recently, I decided to experiment with some colours that have not featured prominently in my previous work, which lead me to explore yellow. For me, yellow conjures feelings of renewal, hope and harmony. Since I was a young girl, I have been an avid snorkeller. Give me a mask and I’ll always be the first one in and the last one out of the water. Playing with yellow piercing through blended layers of dark marine blue raised euphoric memories of wonder and discovery from many reefs I’ve visited around the world.
