'Cossack Dreaming'

'Cossack Dreaming'
‘Cossack Dreaming’ (2021), 121.9cm x 121.9cm / 48 x 48” acrylic on canvas, mixed media.
This painting is a love letter to the historic town of Cossack, in the Pilbara. I was thrilled to be invited to exhibit some of my artwork by a former teacher, who curates the Gallery’s art exhibitions. It is an honour to share space with some of the region’s premier indigenous artists, and I am very glad I made the trip to celebrate the Gallery’s show this month. Cossack is full of beautiful ochre colours, striking natural formations and historic buildings. I felt as though I slipped into my own dream-time as I painted this homage to a truly unforgettable experience. This piece will be available after the exhibition. (Exhibition commences 10th January 2021) European Concepts 38 King Edward Road, Osborne Park Western Australia).
