This painting is a story of gratitude. If it takes a village to raise a child, it certainly takes one very special family to champion an emerging artist. Mine is comprised of teachers, curators, fellow artists, art-lovers, art-buyers, friends and literal family relations. From the very beginning of first putting brush to canvas all the way to exhibiting my work in exciting spaces, this journey has been lit with one gift after another. I do not take the opportunities for granted, and I appreciate everyone who has been a part of helping me discover and raise up the artist within.
