This painting is a story of longing and anticipation for travel to a place I’ve never been. Food and travel are never far from my thoughts, and I would love to visit this beautiful city filled with colour and excitement. The “Land of God” features vibrant souks, ochre brick walls and glorious minarets, not to mention a cuisine full of flavour and succulence. I wanted to capture the gorgeous stark blues and yellows of Marrakesh, dreaming of them keep me feeling satiated during this travel drought. Exploring such a radiant city is exactly the kind of adventure that will feed my soul once we all can safely travel again.
