This painting is about a recent trip to Vanuatu. We took a banana boat to the island of Pele during spectacular 55km winds. There is beautiful crystal green reefs as you arrive on Pele. The canvas had already lots of depth from a live painting session so I could create lots of colours and layers. I have tried to capture the tumultuous boat ride and the beauty underneath us.
