This painting is my welcome hug to 2022. I didn’t go out and watch fireworks, or celebrate at a fancy party, but I did reflect on my aspirations for what lies ahead. I picked up a brush to imagine all that is possible for the coming year, and felt elated to dare to hope for happiness, courage, peace and wisdom. With a few fireworks thrown in for good measure.
