Never Quite As It Seems’ II (2022), 80.5cm x 80.5cm acrylic on wood panel, graphite, pencil, chalk, varnish. This painting is inspired by a recent visit to the snow fields of Hotham. The beautiful soft white freshly fallen snow on the mountain tops and the contrasting neutral flora of the high country. Nature at its finest. I chose the title ‘Never Quite As It Seems’ to represent what I love about abstract art, that we all get to bring our own interpretations to the story.
