This painting is a reminder to live each moment. At the end of the holiday season, I often feel a bit low after the adrenalin from family gatherings and parties with friends wears off. This year, I cheered myself by painting the moments of sweetness that I will cherish from these special times together. I savour each memory as I turn it over in my mind, and this exercise makes me want to capture these precious bits of joy not only during the holidays or special occasions, but every day, in all the small and quiet interactions too.
