This painting is a lockdown story, created in the early days of the pandemic when we didn’t know how long it would be before we could socialize again. I was listening to The Smiths, and this line spoke to me:

Take me out tonight where there’s music and there’s people

And they’re young and alive.

I’m so grateful we live in a part of the world where we’ve been able to maintain meaningful social connections in our community.
