This piece was commissioned by Peter, a wine enthusiast who delights in sharing thought-provoking conversations over a pleasant glass of wine. He has made wine a focus of many of his global travel experiences and is particularly fond of uncorking a fine bottle to accompany a picnic in the wild. He and his wife have shared many a memorable afternoon in this way, with their most important life deliberations made over the picnic basket with wine in hand. Peter wanted a painting to celebrate and commemorate the simple pleasure of sharing good wine.
