‘Float’ (2024), 1.75cm x 1.75cm acrylic on canvas, graphite. This commissioned piece is now ready to go to a beautiful home in Claremont. I decided re-name this painting ’Float’. Although it is a larger version of previous work, this painting has more of a sense of weightlessness. The harmonious blending of neutral tones together with intriguing bold darker shapes to me, creates a tranquil atmosphere, evoking the gentle drift of clouds, inviting a peaceful escape into the abstract.
