This painting is a reminder to dig deep in our relationships. I’ve been experimenting lately with new techniques, painting darker colours over brighter ones and then clearing away the top layers to reveal hidden radiance. So often our bright cores become obscured to our friends and even ourselves by layers of frustration, disappointment, or monotony that life piles upon us.
