‘Into The Mystic’ (2022) 100 cm x 100cm acrylic on canvas, pencil, graphite sticks. The painting tells the story of loving your journey. The namesake song, written by Van Morrison, was my wedding song, and it played another important role recently when a loved one chose it for her memorial service. She was afraid I wouldn’t want her to use it, but she couldn’t have been more wrong. There is nothing more valuable than feeling content with the life you are living today, and feeling excited in the knowledge that no matter which door your path leads you through, you’re going to be happy on the journey.
