This painting tells the story of wonder at chance encounters. Someone very dear to me was recently confronted by a senseless act of random violence that very nearly cost him his life. While what happened is beyond comprehension to me, I found comfort in focusing on the many coincidences – just as random as the violence – that kept the outcome from being a tragic one. There is light everywhere we look. This piece is currently on display at the White Brick Gallery, 69 Guthrie Street, Osborne Park.
