This painting is my interpretation of the iconic Rottnest Island Swim from Cottesloe beach. Endless blue-grey waters, splashes of colour from swimming caps and boats, and that feeling of being surrounded by nothing but sea and sky. The scattered marks and soft tones hint at movement beneath the surface and the little bursts of energy along the way. It’s about the challenge, the calm, and the thrill of making it to the other side.
