‘Secret Garden’ (2020) 30”x 30” acylic on canvas.
This one’s all about hidden places — the kind that aren’t on any map. Secret Garden came out of a pretty instinctive process, layering deep pinks, bold reds, and murky greens until it felt like something half-remembered or half-dreamed. It’s messy in the best way — overgrown, wild, slightly mysterious.
There’s a sense of structure in it too — like there’s something built beneath all that softness, something that’s been taken over by nature again. Maybe an old gate, or crumbling steps that go nowhere, tucked away behind vines. A forgotten spot with stories to tell.
I like to think of this painting as a kind of invitation — to wander in, get a little lost, and see what your imagination finds.
