Like a prayer is my contemporary abstract take on the fabulous Madonna. The name title song was released in 1989 and is still current today. I wanted to capture that feeling of music, mystery and emotion all coming together — a little bit rebellious, a little bit romantic and completely unapologetic. The words woven through the painting are a reminder that, just like a prayer, sometimes we don’t really know where life is taking us… we simply have to trust the journey.
