‘Inception’ (2023), 100cm x 100cm acrylic on canvas, graphite, gel gloss, pencil.

This piece is called Inception—a nod to the spark of something new. It’s all about that exciting, slightly chaotic energy at the beginning of an idea, a project, or a shift in life. You know that feeling when something’s just starting to take shape, but it’s still a bit messy and undefined? That’s what I wanted to capture here.

There are layers of movement and color—splashy pinks, soft whites, smoky greys—like thoughts swirling before they settle. Marks and shapes appear almost by accident, like connections you don’t see until later. It’s a painting that doesn’t give away everything at once, and that’s the point. It holds space for change, for what's coming next, for something about to begin.
