‘Dancing on the Jetty’ (2024), 120cm × 120cm acrylic on canvas, mixed media.
Dancing on the Jetty is a love letter to the sea… and a nod to the music that makes your heart race. Inspired by my fascination with ocean horizons and my soft spot for INXS, this piece feels like moonlight hitting the water, waves lapping at the pier, and that electric moment when a favourite song kicks in. The deep blues and inky blacks swirl with purples and light bursts — like reflections on wet timber — creating a rhythm you can almost hear. It’s about freedom, salt air, and dancing like nobody’s watching.
