’Boat Race’ is all about the energy and movement of being on the water — boats jostling for position, oars moving, and everyone pushing towards the finish. I’ve stripped the scene back into abstract shapes, lines and flashes of colour, letting the feeling of the race come through rather than literally painting the boats. It’s a little chaotic, a little playful, and full of movement.
