‘Blue Angel’ (2026), 200cm x 120cm acrylic on canvas, oil sticks, ink, collage. This is the current piece in a series of statement works that I am currently working on. It’s a vibrant tribute to the fearless spirit of Cyndi Lauper, inspired by the energy of her early band days with ‘Blue Angel’ and the electric pulse of New York City. Bursting with fluorescent colour, layered textures, and flashes of her iconic style, the painting weaves together bold lines, playful shapes, as well as collage of tulle and beads to reflect her originality and fearless self-expression. It’s a celebration of individuality—capturing the wild, colourful magic that made her impossible to ignore.
