This painting tells the story of how I felt driving through the Pilbara landscape. The “oldest place on Earth” overwhelmed me with her vastness, her majestic sovereignty, her splendorous shapes and colours. She is impossible to know or to forget, to measure or to capture. I am in awe of the humility I felt, standing at the edge of such unfathomable beauty.
